Come on... I need to polish the glass. Even with new blades the windshield is streaking like hell.

Did you panel wipe the new blades?
A quick glass cleaner should suffice till you get chance to give it a good going over.

No, but I don’t think it’s the blades anymore, last time I felt the glass there was this weird sticky residue on the glass. Gonna whip out the scraper to smooth it out. My old stove scraper did wonders on my other car.

Ah right. I meant as in I always wipe new blades before fitting but if your feeling a tackiness to the glass you may want to get it cleaned and polished before it starts to do damage to your new blades.
Hopefully it’s tree sweat and will come off with a good multipurpose cleaner with strong degreasing action.

Ended up just getting a small bucket of water with dish soap, and cleaning just the glass. Quick rinse and wipedown, clayed and scraped it with a blade, finished off with RainX. Still some micro scratches since I didn’t polish the glass (I don’t have my friend’s DA and polishing pads) but boy it already made a world’s difference. It was misty this morning but the wipers are silent.
